Next Kayak - Saturday, 20 February

I will be heading out on the water this Saturday afternoon for a paddle. High tide is not until 12:49 so I was thinking of heading up Hays Inlet at around 12:00 so that I get up the inlet by the ebb tide and then paddle back after high tide. I hope there are a few who are keen for this as Hays Inlet is a beautiful, serene and quiet place for a great Saturday paddle!
Also, I am hoping to start heading out a few mornings during the week as well, as a few of us have decided to start getting serious about doing some training to endure the challenge of paddling to Moreton Island towards the end of winter! Exciting stuff but very serious as well as a paddler must be very fit and prepared for various things that can occur when out in such an unpredictable bay. More on that later!
Also, please check out Fishing Coast to Coast NZ as the boat of the year just came out and it is the Ocean Kayak Prowler Ultra 4.7! A sweet kayak it is!!! I am in the process of trying to source the article to upload but no luck yet, so keep your eyes open. And if any of you are keen to see one, there is a demo camouflage one at the moment in the Moreton Bay Marine Supplies shop here in Clontarf. And for those of you interested in fishing, it is a beauty!!!
Anyway, hope to see you all on Saturday! Looking forward to getting out on the water!!!

As mentioned the boat of the year was won by no other than the new prowler ultra 4.7, which has now been confirmed as the best of the best!
