After a fantastic long weekend paddling for three days on Moreton Island over Easter, we are back into the swing of things tomorrow morning! Chris and myself took lots of gear over and spotted a huge dugong near the shipwrecks along with a few dolphins and lots of beautiful fish while snorkelling around the wrecks. We endured a few hefty southerleys and azre now stronger for it.
I have gone out a few times this week in the arvo due to sudden inclinations to get out on the water for the sunsets, and they have been stunning this week. I will be going out this arvo, Friday, at around 4:30 just off the Woody Point boat launch and will be going up to the Hornibrook bridge and up Hays Inlet a bit before coming back to the Woody Point Jetty. Should be nice!
Otherwise, if you are keen for a paddle tomorrow morning, I was thinking a semi-early one around eight. Any suggestions on where to go, let me know. High tide is around 7a.m. so perhaps we could stick around the bay. Maybe near Redcliffe and explore up to Scarborough. I am up for suggestions! Cheers!
